Of course we can't even get through the holidays here in L.A. with-out a tragic story like this. A man in a Santa suite shows up late to a family gathering on Christmas Eve and immediately opens fire on the gathering with a hand gun.

Reports say there were about 25 people in the house and it's still unknown exactly how many died. The house caught fire soon after the shootings and the man was reportedly throwing molotov cocktails which might have set the house on fire. Police had to hold back the firefighters because they were still hearing gun shots when they arrived.

The 911 calls started around 11:30pm and the fire was finally put out at 1:30am. Apparently the man ditched the Santa costume and left the scene in plain clothes. He was later found dead at his brothers house from an apparent suicide.

The news report says the man was having marital problems of some sort but these kind of happenings still blow me away. I don't know how some people just snap in certain situations. It's so sad!! I guess the holidays are just too hard for some people to bare but commit suicide before you go out killing a bunch of other people!!
