During a recent interview with CBS reporter Katie Couric, Sarah Palin was asked if she considers herself a feminist and responded, “I do”. She then attributed it, in part, to her upbringing where she was expected to put in an equal effort with her brothers to support the family. Palin is part of the FFL, the Feminists for Life of America. This is a pro-life feminist organization based on a more traditional feminist value similar to that of the early American feminist Susan B. Anthony.
