Sarah Palin's 17 Year Old Daughter is Pregnant. So What!

Why are people so quick to judge the actions of another without taking into consideration they are capable of doing the same things themselves?

I just read a Fox News report of Sarah Palin’s 17 year old daughter being pregnant. I want to say if anyone’s daughter does not get pregnant before she is married in today’s day and age that family is one of the lucky ones. The dream of your daughter actually being a virgin at the time of her wedding day is simply out of the question. She just isn’t going to be.

The liberal society addresses this problem with teaching our youngsters to use condoms in junior and high school and condemns the teaching of abstinence with a separation of church and state type of argument.

Today’s culture does not teach virtue and integrity to the young men anymore and today’s culture does not teach the young women to expect and demand this type of character from them. In fact it teaches to expect the complete opposite and praises animal in heat and thug like behavior. This has to be confusing to the young men and women today.

It does not matter what is taught in the home. Society today teaches the young adults diversity and freedom of choice is king without expressing accountability. And youngsters are quick to grab any ”freedom” they can that makes them feel like a grown up or equal to their authorities. They simply have a lack of experience to understand the accountability that comes with decisions a grown up makes.

The Palins are treating this matter as any expecting grandparents should be. I am positive they are looking forward to the day this little life becomes a part of their world. I am sure they are buying car seats, strollers, baby bottles, diapers, cradles and cribs and everything that is going to be needed the moment this youngster graces their life.

Virtue and integrity

Since Bristol Palin is marrying the father of the child, I hope he IS someone who will treat her and the child with virtue and integrity. I haven't heard anything about who he is but hopefully he's a solid, responsible guy.

"Lack of knowledge about sex + condemnation of contraception + normal teenage hormonal urgings = high likelihood of teenage pregnancy" My point exactly when I say young men are not being taught to treat a young woman with virtue and integrity and the young women are not being taught to expect and demand this character from the young men. All we can do as parents is teach them right and if they stray know they will come back to good. This means if they get pregnant they will still be good mothers. Aren't evangelicals always railing against the evils of premarital sex? Isn't it ironic that a VP candidate who claims to be such a devout evangelical (and seemingly wants to impose such standards on others) can't even get her own daughter to follow those principles? I don't know about Palin, but some evangelicals I've met are very much against sex education and contraception. Lack of knowledge about sex + condemnation of contraception + normal teenage hormonal urgings = high likelihood of teenage pregnancy
