New Republican VP pick Sarah Palin isn't the only one in her family with a history of bucking the Republican Party: it seems her husband and oldest son have, too. According to Politico, neither husband Todd Palin nor their elder son, Army recruit Track Palin (who's scheduled to ship off to Iraq) are registered Republicans; rather, they are independents, or as Politico says, "their party affiliation is listed as “undeclared” on voter registration records retrieved from the Alaska Division of Elections."

Politico says that husband Todd Palin "hasn’t been affiliated with a party since he first registered to vote while he was in his early 20s, in 1989 — the year after he married Sarah Palin." Son Track Palin registered as undeclared upon becoming eligible to vote in 2007.
