Satyam bags Qantas IT contract

Mumbai: Satyam Computer Services bagged a seven-year contract from Qantas Airlines, Australia 's leading airline, for Rs 243.19 crore.

The deal covers application development and maintenance services for over 150 applications across a wide portfolio of technologies.

Informing this, Satyam's co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Rama Raju said, we are very proud to partner with Qantas, Australia's eading airline, as one of their global service providers and we look forward to leverage our global expertise towards achieving Qantas goals and objectives.

This partnership calls for Satyam to further enhance Qantas perational efficiency and with our experience across the airline industry; we look forward to expand this relationship for any IT application development project in the future with Qantas, Company's Senior Vice President and Director Asia Pacific Virender Aggarwal said.

Satyam had also bagged the Oracle e-Business suite contract in august for implementing elements of Qantas' eBusiness systems recently.
