Save Money On Home Electric Bills, Unplug Unused Devices

The small kitchen appliances that sit on your counter unused for most of the day are using electricity. So are your cell phone charger, hair care appliances, personal hygiene appliances, stereo system and DVD player.
Any electronic device or appliance, when plugged into an outlet, is using electricity. It's referred to a phantom or vampire load. Things that are drawing power from your home that you would not normally consider as using electricity.
TV's, computers, toasters, coffee makers, electric can openers, microwaves, hair dryers, etc., that are plugged into an electrical outlet is drawing power, even when you are away from home and not using these items.
Most homes have a multitude of these devices that use a vampire load of electricity and adds to the cost of home electric bills.
While it's not feasible to unplug every electronic device or appliance, you can unplug many of them each day after using and save money on your home electric bill.
