Saving our House Market
Saving our House Market
Monday is not going to be a good day for the stock market, as the market will react negatively due to the fact the IndyMac Bank's was seized late Friday afternoon by FDIC - we now, officially have a bank go out of business, the timing gets worse and several more financial institutions will report earnings this week, get ready america, the begining of the hurting is going to start now unless the Federal Government decides to take action immediately. Maybe if the feds nationalize the housing market and converts all mortgages into treasuries, we may see a fix here; otherwise these negative economic events will go down in history as a result of gready real estate professions, but most importantly we will realize the consequence of including the extra finders/real estate commisions to the price of the home was a major contributor to overinflating the price of our homes, instead of operating under a fixed fee structure which could have prevented the escalating prices. For example, if the value of the home conservatively increased over 4 years, but the effort it took to sell the home the first time was similar as it was 4 years later, then the price to sell the home should have remained the same regardless of the value of the home.
Well, the past is the past, and what should we do now. I do not want to see this housing market fall any further. I have a stake in it, we all do.
I feel that I can help by 1) providing information (that is
not well understood by the public) and 2) providing a free web portal that will connect homeowners to trade their homes.
I believe if we restore confidence, things will get better - the free website I developed is a start. It lets people
who need to move (retires, job transfers, expecting family
growth, etc), an opportunity to swap their homes, this way there will be less less "For Sale" signs which should help restore confidence.
I make no money off the real estate transactions, I am simply a matchmaker of homes ... kinda like match.com, true.com, chemistry.com etc. Homeowners are more comfortable with a website that is not backed by a real estate agent who happens to be pushing simultaneous closings and is unwilling to consider other options associated with alternatively moving you out of one home and into another.
I believe you must empower homeowners first, give them the information and tools they need, they will eventually seek out a better way. For those of you who have signed up, I applaud you. You have made a decision to use the available
resources and to take control of your life, as you should. So on behalf of http://www.TrySwappingIt.com and all the home owners of America who are trying to salvage themsleves by using this site, we applaud you for taking control of your life and your home. Continue to recommend this site to others. Making the economy better starts with us!!
