Say It Right

First dates are tough. After you've figured out where you're going to take her and what you're going to wear, you still have one tall order to fill: What are you going to talk about?

1) Tell her what you are passionate about. When we talk about things that make us tick, we exude a certain type of energy or excitement. Tell her about the projects you are involved in and how much fun you have doing it.

2) Make her laugh. They say humour is the shortest distance between two people. Don't be shy of laughing at yourself too.

3) Travel is a great first date conversation piece. Talk about where you've been, what you learnt, what you saw, and where you want to go next.

4) Be a good listener and give her your full attention. You should be talking 40 per cent and listening 60 per cent of the time.
