Scotland's Big Bard Year

As this article points out there are over 40 million people in the world who have ancestors that came from Scotland.

And 2009 is the 250th. anniversary of the birth of the great bard, Rabbie Burns.

My country of birth is hosting a year of festivities during 2009.These include THE Anniversary Weekend, the International Genealogy Festival in Glasgow, the Whisky Galore Festival, and of THE Highland Games.
