secondhand stores - inexpensive chic

Since I do not have much money to waste on clothing but want to look good I have found a system that works best for me.

I invested in a color consultation many years ago which showed me the best colors and styles for me to wear. When I shop I save time and money by heading just for these items on the racks. If I can find a quality iteem for a reasonable price I might buy it. If not, it is off to the second hand store.

As a strict rule I shop in first rate clean shops. Goodwill is a favorite of mine. They offer a discount card, and in store sales. I usually find something really cool every time I shop there. They sometimes even have brand new items with the tags on them. These stores are also e good sources for accessories, jewelry and household merchandise.

As a rule I purchase all personal items, socks, swimwear new from a department store.

I would much rather shop at a second hand store for all other clothing and get entire outfits for the same amount of money I would pay for one piece of clothing at the mall, Walmart or a boutique.
