posted September 13, 2006 - 2:59pmWith all of the beautiful colors of nail polish out on the market, howl can you possibly choose which ones are best for you?
Selecting the correct shade of nail polish is simple. The tone of your skin is the determining factor. People either have a cool or warm undertone to their skin.
You can always consult the book titled color me beautiful to help you determine your correct skin tone. If you do not have availability to this book, you can use a faster method. Simply hold a white sheet of paper underneath your arm. This should give a chance to see your skin tone properly. If your skin has pink, blue, or red undertones, then you're considered to be in the cool category. If you see golden, beige, or olive undertones, then you are considered to be in the warm category.
cool colors to choose from are
Purples, plums, pinks, and Reds
Warm colors to choose from are
oranges, corals, bronzes, and golds
if you choose your nail polish color according to your skin tone, you always make the proper choice. These are the shades that book best on you.
besides these basic nail polish colors there are many other bright and decorative shades to choose from. If the color has a blue undertone then it is cool. If it has a yellow undertone, then it is warm.
Some of these unusual colors can be used at holiday or party times, but for every day wear it is best to choose a shade you know is going to complement your skin tone and look good on you.
