Selling your crafts at craft shows

Selling your crafts at craft shows

If you sell your crafts at craft shows, then there are a couple of good lessons to keep in mind.

I know it can be a long day, but plan ahead and pack yourself a lunch that you can "nibble". Do not pack a huge dripping meatball sandwich or things like that!

Murphy's Law, the minute you think it is quiet enough to eat your lunch at a craft show?... NOT, that will be the minute someone shows up, and you want to see how fast they will run to the next booth?.. Try eating some stinky dripping sandwich, they will turn and run.

You need to look professional, after all you spent the year making and producing your products, and you are passionate about them, so for this time of year with the craft shows in full swing, plan ahead, and either have someone relieve you for lunch and bathroom breaks, or pack food that is easily nibbled and hidden, just in case you need to answer any questions!... Keep away from onions, garlic, and other smelly foods.

You make think this is common sense, but I have been at many craft shows, where the whole aisle has stunk up from someones lunch.
