How To Setup Google Adsense

What is Google Adsense?

Google Adsense is an advertising network that serves contextual text ads to websites. Any post that you make on Xomba will contain Google Adsense ads. Google will display ads that are relevant to what you have written on Xomba. For example, if you write about vacuum cleaners then the ads will be about vacuum cleaners or related products and/or services. This maximizes your posts' earning potential. The revenue generated from these ads will be split between you and Xomba 50/50.

Is it Free?

Yes, this program is absolutely free.

Can I Use My Current Adsense Account?

Yes, if you already have an Adsense account you have to use your existing Adsense code. You can easily add your Adsense number to your Xomba profile following the steps found here.

How Do I get an Adsense Account?

First, follow this link: Google Adsense Sign Up . Then follow the steps below using the image.

Step 1 Add the URL from your user profile in the Website URL field. You can find this URL by clicking on My Profile and copying the text in your address bar.

Step 2 Select English as the website language.

Step 3 Select Individual for the Account Type field.

Now proceed to fill out the rest of the fields.

How Long Does It Take To Be Approved?

Once you have signed up for your account it will have to be approved by Google. It can take anywhere from one hour to one week to get your account approved. Remember to keep checking your email.

In the meantime, you can begin interacting with the Xomba community by reading, commenting and posting Xombytes and Xomblurbs.

How To Link Your Adsense Account To Your Xomba Profile

Once you have been approved by Google (or if you already have an Adsense account) you'll need to link it to your Xomba profile.

First, log into your Google Adsense account. Copy your Publisher Id (as shown in the picture below) beginning with the pub- part.

Second, log into Xomba and follow the steps below to place your Adsense Publisher number into your Xomba account. Please use this picture as a guide:

 

Step 1 Click on "My Profile" in the upper right-hand navigational block.

Step 2 Click the Edit tab above your profile.

Step 3 Click the Adsense tab above your profile.

Step 4 Paste your Adsense Publisher Number in the field. Your number should begin with either ca or pub-. Make sure there are no spaces before or after your number.

Step 5 Click the save button to submit.

Congratulations! You have now synced your AdSense account with your Xomba account. When people start clicking ads on your Xomba pages, you will see the impressions (views) and income in your Adsense account.
