Seven Pounds:Not a movie for Lightweights

Anxiously I awaited the latest Will Smith movie: Seven Pounds. I was so excited for this movie to hit the theatre I mistakenly made plans to see it a week before it was out. Finally, the anticipated film launched and I was front and center with one of my good friends watching.

This movie was not one for lightweights. If you snoozed at all you would miss it. The beginning kept you searching for what was going on. Their were several pieces to a huge puzzle that of course came together at the end. Various moments throughout, wimpering could be heard in the theatre. I myself had a melt down. The acting was fierce and beautiful. This movie left you thinking at the end, you took something away to ponder.

My friend and I went to dinner afterwards and chewed some more on this theatrical feast. It was amazing. The scene with the woman in the nursing home gripped my heart as her acting was so pure and real. If you are ready to leave behind the milk and cookies and dig in to some real food, check out Seven Pounds.
