"Sex and the City" Box Office: Girls Whip Indy on First Night
The four ladies of "Sex and the City" firmly whipped Indiana Jones on Friday night. For the official opening night of the filmed version of the popular HBO TV series, the "Sex and the City" gals $26.9 million worth of tickets in the U.S. and Canada on Friday, compared with about $12 million for "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" according to studio estimates.

It's a big weekend for the movie industry. I saw Indy last night--it was okay--but most people were out to see the Sex and the City Movie. There were some long, rowdy, well-dressed lines.
