Shameful People Are Afraid of Being Seen Near Me

Shameful People Are Afraid of Being Seen Near Me

Why? Because I'm ugly, I look like I probably smell, I have childish ideas, I have childish understandings, and I'm not married.

I am moved to that conclusion because–at Mars Hill–I sat where the shameless sit (front and center).

My friends saw me sitting there, and would not join me. Pity the shameful.

I still wonder, "How did Jesus smell? Human?"

Is this the start of new religious iconography? In the spirit of WWJD will we now have HDJS?

No Need to Feel Shameful

Always remember that the only one that can judge you is God above.

My motto: Always remember when you look down on someone, there is Someone looking down on you.

To be such a liberal church, Mars Hill, sounds like, it has a lot of religious hippocrits. Your main focus should be the purpose of why you are there. It should never be to fit in with the crowd, it should be worshipping. If you want to sit on the front and center, then no one can tell you otherwise. I do not think God will condemn you whereever you sit.

jesus smelled

like olive oil? lavender? parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme?

you know i think you could bibilically get a few of his scents based on the oils people used at the time. that and the fact that people didn't bath hardly ever probably made him pretty pungent. good thing it was the message and not the odor that counted.
