Sharpton Arrested in NY Sean Bell Protest

The Rev. Al Sharpton and some of his supporters were arrested in Manhattan Wednesday as they made good on their promise to engage in peaceful Sean Bell protest events.

Sean Bell was shot to death in Nov. 2006 by three undercover NYC police detectives in a hail of 50 bullets. The detectives were acquitted of all charges last month.

Sharpton's supporters gathered at police headquarters and at locations near major bridges and tunnels.

Sharpton has said he and his supporters will hold Sean Bell protests each week.
