Shaw-Blades Touring to Support New Album

The duo of Tommy Shaw and Jack Blades are going on tour to support their new album, Influence. It is their first new album since 1995.

Performing under the name Shaw-Blades, the duo features Tommy Shaw, formerly of '70s rockers Styx, and Jack Blades, who used to be in the '80s band Night Ranger ("Sister Christian"). Shaw and Blades previously were members of the band Damn Yankees.

The brief tour will begin Nov. 7th in Petaluma, California and wind up in early December in Nashville.

As its title suggests, Influence is said to highlight songs that have had an impact on Shaw and Blades, including the Mamas and the Papas' "California Dreamin'" and Steely Dan's "Dirty Work."
