Sheryl Crow Adopts Baby Boy
posted May 13, 2007 - 5:35amThe press feed came into the office at WYNYC Radio relating that Sheryl Crow had adopted a baby boy.
She has decided to skip the elaborate wedding ceremony- and the husband part- of starting a family.
Sheryl Crow was having a highly publicised relationship with a
retired bicycle racer. This certainly helped her CD sales because her audience, young single women, are interested in romance and marriage.
The Walt Disney Corporation knows what young women are interested in also. The Walt Disney World Resort offers various wedding packages that are booked for over-a-year in advance. Now there is the "Disney Bridal Collection" offering wedding gowns, bridesmaid dresses, and flower-girl dresses inspired by Disney movie Princesses Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Bell and Jasmine.
These dresses cost $1,000 to $3,500 and are designed by Kirstie Kelly.
This might be a cause of some of the problems that people have in their marriages, the unrealistic expectations of what married life involves.
The cultural programming of girls from when they first start watching videos (they are attracted by the pictures of Cinderella and Belle on the covers) that they are princesses could be the reason that so many marriages end-up in divorce; they are not prepared to deal with the problems and reality of married life and give-up, to go-on to the next husband that they hope will be their "Prince Charming."
There is an example, right there; our language has these "code words" that conjure-up images of "Royal Weddings."
That could explain also, the interest in the romantic affairs of the British royality that are promoted by the tabloids in the United States.
I have heard ladies singing-along with Sheryl Crow as her songs play, they know them by heart; there are other ladies on the music scene like Jean Ann Hand and Beth Davidson that are telling the stories about love found and love lost.
These songs can be heard, no special "Media Player" needs to be downloaded at: www.blogtext.org/SteveLee
