Shilpa’s mother Sunanda Shetty was also a famous model in her times. Her younger sister Shamita Shetty is a Budding Bollywood actress and they have worked together in the film (Fareb) 2005.
She can speak in Hindi, English, Marathi, Gujrati, Telugu, Tamil, and can understand a little bit of French. Shilpa hopes to work with Jackie Chan sometime in the future.

She donated all the money she made from her movie 'Phir Milenge' to an AIDS charity.
