Shoe Trends for Fall & Winter 2009-2010

Last year the shoe trends were less practical and more experimental in colors ans elements. But keeping in mind the buyer shoe trends have focused more on keeping it simple yet stylish and better in quality too. Of course there were some lavish showcase of footwear as well by the designers but due to economic slowdown the buyer has become a smart buyer and ideal choice are easy-to-wear timeless yet trendy footwear.
Colors:
Colors this season are in the lines of mystic cold season. The color palette consists of black, midnight blue, dark violet, petrol, dark green, asphalt and deep reds. But there were the nude colors like beige, grey and taupe which was in contrast to these dark shades. There were some colors like red, berry, brown which was like cherry on the top.
Forms:
The hottest forms were iron tips, square toe style, rounded oval shapes.
Heels:
The in style trends for heels are higher the better. The hot favorite were 6-inch stiletto, stable square, and trapezoid heel.
Season's favorite:
Over-the-knee boots and ankle boots are this season's showstopper. keeping in mind the cool season the boots are a practical choice to keep your feet warm. Keep the detailing minimum as fringes, stones, flowers when overdone looks tacky. select a soft fabric so that you are comfortable wearing the boots. Leather, silk, suede, lace and drap material are perfect for boots. the best part is they can be teamed up with short dresses or mini skirts to trousers or skinny jeans or tights. It goes with any occasion from office wear to parties. make sure you have at least one pair of boots in your closet.
Designer wear:
1. Anna Sui
Anna Sui showcased an interesting boots collection for Fall and Winter 2009-2010. She showed lots of variety like showy embellished chamois boots to fur-rimmed metallic leather boots. the ‘Anna Sui’ labeled motorcycle-inspired boots were truly inspirational. The models showcasing the studded zip-front knee-high boots and boots featuring vicious looking leather-covered studs down the catwalk were exotic.
2. Philip Lim
This collection had some shoes with super high platforms. The metallic details were classy and rich. the lacy lace-up ankle boots were very feminine and girly.
3. Diane von Furstenberg
This mystic and cool collection had some fashionable high sculpted platform shoes. they can be combines with socks or with black straps. Keeping in mind the season the colors were in black as well as brown. the black fur-rimmed clogs and zippered black ankle booties were the styles that were prominent in most of the shoes.
Other designers
The earthy Calflength biker boots with a touch of rock-star entice stood out. The most original and fresh lot is that of lace boots. The rusty military and motorbike style were used styles by many designers in their collection. The bandage style boots in suede and nudes were classy.
