Movie in review: Shooter

Main Stars: Mark Wahlberg, Michael Pena, Danny Glover, Kate Mara, Elias Koteas, Rhona Mitra, Jonathan Walker, Justin Louis

Story: Bob Lee Swagger(played by Mark Wahlberg) and his spotter are sent on what is supposed to be a simple scouting and protect mission. The mission goes sour and Bob’s friend is killed. Bob retires and wants to stay away from being a sniper. He is one of the most talented snipers alive, able to make a shot at over a mile away. The army needs his expertise to protect a politician from a sniper threat.

My Opinion: I loved the movie. I really enjoyed the opening scene, and several other key scenes in the movie. I saw a lot of other reviews and a good number of them were bad. I don’t know if I am more forgiving or what. I recommend seeing this film, it is entertaining and educating at the very least.
