Shopping on Hilton Head Island

From outlet malls to small boutiques, the attraction for the beautiful island of Hilton Head is not simply the white sandy beaches and glorious weather. Vacationers should definitely allow some time to shop while visiting the island. An enjoyable shopping spot for the whole family is Coligny Plaza. With over 60 shops, plan to spend a few hours at this plaza, enjoying the varied shops and kiosks displaying handmade jewelry, hats, and clothing. Coligny, the oldest plaza on the island, surrounds a duck pond lined with palm trees and lush tropical plants. Harbour Town offers live entertainment and a number of indoor and outdoor restaurants. Climb to the top of Hilton Head's red-and-white striped lighthouse. Browse the unique gift shops and Stobbart's Gallery, which showcases wonderful Lowcountry works of art. Your kids will love the large playground decked out with a unique tree house right in the middle.

The Mall at Shelter Cove is the only enclosed shopping mall on the island. This mall boasts over 50 shops anchored by Belks and Off-5th Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet department stores. A terrific place to shop during the hottest parts of the day, the Mall features everything you would expect from your regular shopping mall at home.

Low Country Factory Outlet Mall is located off island in nearby Bluffton. This two-section factory mall is just a short trip by car from the beaches and plantations of Hilton Head. Be sure to plan for a day trip since this factory outlet hosts over 100 brand name outlet stores.
