Should Senior Citizens Embrace Social Media?

The latest social media hot topics usually include Facebook and Twitter. Some say social media is the greatest thing to come along in years, while others dismiss the sites as time-consuming, distracting, and possibly dangerous. As more senior citizens take to the internet, should they, or should they not, embrace these websites? If so, which sites are in their best interest?
