Should women have a proper age to have kids?
posted September 7, 2006 - 10:49amI personally have always said: "I wan't to have kids when I'm financially secured." At this point, I'm 23 and still no kids. My sister who is two years older than me, already has three kids and the oldest one is nine years old. I also see a lot of girls younger than me who have kids, I ask my self "Are they financially secured already?"
Truth is many are not, but how do you know when is the right time to have kids? I sometimes sit and think, I can barely feed my self with what I make how could i feed and extra mouth? I mean, at what point in your life does it hit you?
In my case, I'm waiting to own a business where I can have a secure income and a good amount of money save in the bank.
So I can stay at home with my baby and still have an income.
I'm pretty sure there are many older women out there, who had raise three or five kids with a tight budget. The whole idea of having kids scares me, when I read the article "Mommy Wars: Stay at home Vs. working" it hit me again. There is no way I can support a baby, and I know I sound like if I will be a single mother but let's face reality men take off and they leave you. You have to be prepare even for the unexpected.
So, in your opinion (to all mother's out there and the ones who are not yet) when did you figure it out or I'm too juvenile still?
