Should You Join Blastoff, Is It A Scam?
posted October 30, 2009 - 6:34pmWhat in the heck is Blastoff or the Blastoff Network? I got at least a dozen e-mails from friends who wanted me to join their network and I said "right, why should I?" and "is this a scam?". After looking up and down the blogs and chat boards for an hour or two I came across every kind of opinion. Reading the terms of conditions and you find that there is nothing fishy or any fees. What is it? Of couse it is network marketing, you know the story, sign up your friends and hope they sign up their friends and so on. What do you sell? You don't sell anything. All that Blastoff is is a "portal" just like Amazon who sells other people's stuff and gives associates a commission. Here is how it works. Blasoff has literally hundreds of merchants, from Target to Best Buy to Macy's and simply by going through the Blastoff site on the way to the official sites of these merchants you get cash back. You don't have to pay a fee to join or purchase anything to become a member. The site earns a commission from the merchants for sending them the traffic, but you still pay the same price, only you get cash back in your account and cash when your friends buy things. Pretty cool, eh. There are skeptics out there but the site is legit and has partnered with many reputable businesses like the ones mentioned above. Why didn't somebody come up with this years ago, or why didn't Facebook think of this? See the site below for more info. Hmm...
I've always been fascinated by things like this - too bad they never work when I try them out. Because the problem is to actually get people buying stuff from your site. And they never do.
...Or do they?
