n our beauty obsessed culture we can't deny that being beautiful has certain advantages. The more attractive you are, the more attention you will receive from others. It may appear that some privilege and material things are easier to obtain. Is the media responsible for making young people who know they are attractive completely delusional?

Two young ladies on a flight were escorted off of a southwest airplane flight in Tampa, Florida. These two young ladies are both 18 years old and from Oldsmar. Nisreen Swedberg is a USF student her traveling companion and friend Sarah Williams.

The complaints start the moment they boarded the plane in Tampa on February 14th. The complaints include being passed over for a bottle of water. Williams was cursed at from another passenger, who was upset that she knocked on the door of an occupied restroom. Williams fought back by raising her voice and speaking obscene words to the other passenger. However, the crew only questioned her actions. That brings up the questions, as to what type of etiquette she was using while seeing if the bathroom was available.

According to Tampabays10 the girls stated "I think they were just discriminating against because we were young decent-looking girls. I mean, nobody else on the plane looked like us except us," she said. "[The flight attendants] were like older ladies. We were younger. Who knows, they could have been just jealous of us because we were younger."

This may be a case of two completely self involved young ladies, who really aren't truly aware of the adult world around them. Hard working flight attendants deal with keeping order on the flight and trying to keep numerous people satisfied with minimal refreshment.

It is a fact that people are not perfect. I do not know many people who really expect much in the way of service on a coach flight. I did not find any statements where the girls stated they were talking respectfully or using any type of kindness to solve the problems on the flight. Assuming that the flight attendants are jealous is a stretch.

Yes, there are attractive young girls. Being attractive does not mean that the world will stop, for you. It may give you an advantage, and help you perhaps get into a better position in life. However, when you get there, if your attitude is not personable, you may not stay there long. No matter how beautiful you think are you, there is always someone more beautiful, talented, and ready to take your position. Someone with average looks, a great personality, who can work through problems; will go farther in life than the shallow pretty girl.
