Singer Willy DeVille Dies at 55

Willy DeVille, the singer and songwriter, known for his band Mink DeVille, has died at the age of 55 on Thursday, Aug 6, 2009 at Cabrini Hospital in New York City. DeVille headed the 70s punk group Mink DeVille before going solo and taking new directions. DeVille succumbed to pancreatic cancer after being diagnosed only three months ago.
