Sirius buys out XM radio

The competition between the two head satellite radio companies has finally come to an end. The company Sirius bought out XM radio. The merger of the two companies has been officially announced with the new name Sirius XM.

I hope that the lack of competition doesn't foster unsatisfactory service and or radio programming. Critics have been worried about this as it seems that once a monopoly is established the quality of product declines.
