Six Fires Ravage California: Malibu, San Diego, Agua Dulce, and More

The wind-swept fire ravaging Malibu is one of half a dozen brush fires causing havoc in Southern California.

* What is now a 1,200-acre blaze in the Malibu Hills has forced evacuations of hundreds of homes. A number of landmarks have been destroyed, including Castle Kashan, Malibu Castle, and Malibu Presbyterian Church

Downed power lines are said to be a possible cause of the Malibu fire.

* There have been mandatory evacuations in Malibu Canyon, Sweetwater Canyon, Puerco Canyon and Monte Nido

* Fire officials say it might take two days or longer to control the Malibu fire

* Besides Malibu, fires were also burning in the forest near Castaic ... in San Bernardino County ... in San Diego ... and near Agua Dulce in northern L.A. County

* The Agua Dulce fire has claimed 500 acres, with up to 40 homes
