Slave to money?

Slave to money?

It sounds like a stupid question - but why do we work?

Most people would answer with something like "to earn money, numpty". Money puts food on the table, a roof over our heads and a few luxuries in life.

But what if we're unhappy with our work? Unhappy with our job?Or working too long at our job? Is that why we work?

Perhaps. Do we work to be unhappy? No. But we work for money and the luxuries. Now when those luxuries have been offloaded on a credit card or loan, they tie us up. We cannot stop working until those loans are repaid. Its voluntary slavery.

In that case we are unhappy because we have to work because we have to put food on the table (survive) and have tied ourselves into loans. The banks are the masters and we are their slaves.

You are unhappy but cannot do anything because you're tied to your banker overlords.

My point is... don't buy luxuries unless you wanna be unhappy.

Short, "sweet" and to the point

I could really go into this, but I won't. Great to the point post. +1 MJ - Sending happy thoughts and Smiles! Avatar: Betrayal and Retribution http://www.valkyrieart.com/Poser1.html

Spend too much time riding the waves of cause and effect, and you get hypnotized into the idea that your worthiness is the stuff you have. While 'the stuff you have' may be a RESULT of 'your worthiness,' your worthiness begins and ends wherever you keep your treasure. ---Give Your Opinion Too!, & Google MIGHT find some extra money for you like they do for My Review of TheatreOCU's Recent Awesome! or http://www.mylot.com/mythman?ref=mythman
