Slightly Luciferian
Slightly Luciferian
A possible reason some people don’t fully read some worthwhile reading: It reveals too much.
For instance, the work of Leo da Vinci or Vanessa Montagne is very-beautiful; but look at it before you’re ready, and you’ll be ruined!
Lots of writings do that, and not just “smut-blogs.” Most of the Christian Bible does it too—’serving up the chicken without the bones.’ For instance, when God made a mate for Adam, it wasn’t just “Blinkety-poof! and we’re all lovey-dovey!”
An Instant for God, but Near-Eternity for Lonely Adam
No, Adam had to make sure he smelled right, had to let Eve ‘get used to him,’ had to court her, had to kill all the right animals for her and finally had to work up the nerve to declare her “his own.” (Sure, they were “eternally together”; but so were most divorced couples at one time.)
We writers–though we may try to have omnipresent voices–are stuck with only our own judgment too often for all the ‘attribution of sources’ to seem necessary. (It would probably make posts too boring … ‘but that’s what our thrice-removed ninth-cousin said, quoting our grandmothers’ ancestor in the style of her famous nephew Festus.’ See?)
We often make the mistake of assuming that people won’t apply only the most-inappropriate implications to the news we reveal, and so–while the revelations there might be “useful” (like ‘lots of reading helps you find hope’ from The Neverending Story’s “G`mork”)–they’re seen as “evil” (‘lots of reading helps you find ways to scam those who don’t read so much’).
The Title’s Only the Beginning of the Message!
In case you don’t know how that applies to Lucifer: he is said to have once been the High-Executive Arch-Arch-Archangel. As such, it was he who helped to reveal enlightenment before ‘human evolution’ (or ‘humans’ realization-of-creation,’ depending on the translation you’re thumpin`) could digest it “properly.”
Lucifer found he got more praise if he revealed more, whether God told him to or not. He revealed too much too fast (as seen in-the duckbilled platypus and –the other animals seen as ‘God’s jokes’ now), and thus was sent to the threshers’ furnace of Sheol.
He is now called Satan, lord of the un-savable.
But … Don’t the Christians Say ‘Jesus Saves?’
Many of the “things of this world” seem ‘beyond salvation.’ Jesus Christ’s message (as a Bodhisatva) was that the righteous can use the unsaved world to find Heaven.
That might not be “the message of Christ” that we give to the children, because the ‘Find Heaven’-message doesn’t encourage faith in a sacrifice (and most religions require a giant sacrifice … The Holy Quid Pro Quo.)
Most of Christianity is thus an expression of gratitude for the sacrifice our friend Jesus, gave, thereby happily ignoring any sacrifices actual people make.
Any Real Task Is Thus ‘UnGodly’
For instance, Q gave up on private transportation to help ‘save the world’; but instead of showing any appreciation for that, most of `is Christian friends assume `e does it because `e’s-too lazy to jump through all the hoops and –too smart to pay for all the ‘non-existent damage’ (insurance, pollution, etc.)—so they just-thank a chief member of their invisible councils and –go on with their self-centered lives (that last comment was rather self-centered of us … shows how ‘Christian’ we are!).
Calling Christians ‘self-centered’ was wrong; they’re just ingrained with self-centeredness by the Christian church (and calling ‘self-centered Christians’ the Christian church is like calling jihad-ist kamikazes ‘representatives of Islam’).
But too many Christians equate ‘worship’ with ‘verbal thanksgiving.’ The ‘lip-service’ should only be a reflection of the actions—as you are thankful for the gifts you ‘receive’ (notice and take to keep), you show your thanks by giving as the
It’s Okay to Look, unless You See Yourself
But to see evil problems, you have to shine a light away from the “City on the Hill,” seeing into the outer darkness. Surely Lucifer knew how to discern the evil from the good. He made the mistake of trusting the cave-people to do that as well; and some of them could, but not enough to over-power Lucifer’s stardom.
Since God had to retain His place at the top of the charts, He loosed the Papparazzi on Lucifer and his friends—lowering his status from ‘Executive Light-Bringer’ to ‘low lord scandal-tender.”
City on the Hill | discern | Executive Light-Bringer | God | heal them | Lucifer | Papparazzi | Religion & Beliefs
see you're pretty concerned with religion
Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.
