So now it's getting funny; her Dad is coming to visit....or maybe not. I'll let you know

Alrighty,  it has been a couple of months since I took my first shot at this.  I was at that point explaining to you how my little girl and I were "indefinately" on vacation due to some unexpected court delays after being detained while visiting her Dad.  Well we're home now.  After seven weeks of really expensive lawyers, really snotty "no it all"  (or so they thought) opposing lawyers and a short little judge with a God complex, we are finally home.  We have actually been home for almost two months now.  I think I may save the hidious details of the friviously drawn out "allocation of parental responsibility" court hearing and the rediculous order from the little judge with the God complex for another session.  That will most definately fall under some category other than humor.

For now, let's focus on where we currently sit.  I have been deemed by the God complex judge as the "school year parent" and Dad the "whoopie parent". Whoopie parent is a term handed down by the God complex judge to describe the parent who now will have our little girl for all of the fun "whoopie" times as  he put it. So that means all school breaks to include Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas and summer.  What that supposedly means for the school year parent; or me, is that according to the God complex judge I am to never have time with my little girl on any time other than school time and that I have "sentenced" as the God complex judge put it, my little girl to a summer of daycare.  So never another holiday until she is 18 or can decide on her own where she wants to be and the "whoopie parent" or Dad, is to only have her for all school breaks.  No grey area, the God complex judge sees only in black in white.  With the exception of the black and white print of the $6000.00 report compiled by the child family investigator (ordered by the God complex judge to determine the best interest of our 5 year old little girl).  It seems that the God complex judge was not at all able to read that black and white because no where in that 50 something page report did they recomend the above mentioned schedule.  As a matter of fact the investigators very specifically recommended against that type of visitation schedule in the best interest of our little girl.  Anywhooo, as I said let's save that for another day and get to the really funny stuff.

Dad is coming for a vist.  He hasn't seen her in two months and wants to see her.  He didn't want to take too much time off of work.  She is having a fall program at school this weekend so we thought that would be fun for him to see.  He wanted to come for Halloween, but that is the weekend I am getting married, tada!   Our 3rd attempt to schedule a weekend where both kids will be with us. The last two "thwarted" by her Dad; ooooh!  Another funny story for another day.  This time we are hitting the courthouse with the kiddos and showing up at the family Halloween party as a bride and groom!  It will be fun.  We have both been married before so no big arrangements are necessary.  And this will be a fun suprise for everyone.  Anyway, back to Dad's visit.  He is coming this weekend.  Only for three days.  He flies in on Thursday afternoon, she'll be in school.  He is here all day on Friday, she'll be in school.  He can hang out with her on Saturday then he leaves early on Sunday morning.  Three days to visit, one day to actually see her.  A better planner may have come in on Friday evening and left Monday night.  She is out of school on Monday and that would have given them 3 full days together.  Anywhooooo.

Did I mention that he has a restricted license for the next two and a half years so I'll be picking him up at the airport?  Did I mention that we live on a beautiful place out in the country with no cabs or public transportation so I'll be chauffering him around all weekend?  And did I mention  he'll be staying with us for the weekend?   Now we are getting to the funny part.....
