So you want to work on a Game Farm, My advice to you.

So you want to consider working for a lodge or hotel situated on a game reserve..... Condider the Following.

Small resorts owned by an individual often cant offerd a large amount of employees and therefore you will be expected to work in several fields and not just your qualified departments.

Make sure you sign a contract on the day you arrive.

Do not accept  Bar accounts pay things cash.

I managed a Game Lodge for over 8 months i was required to work 24/7 slept alone on a 417HA farm, i was required to do everything from guest relations to security to PA, and when i left they deducted R5000 from my salary!!!!

My advice go for a established company with a name!! You then get placed in a specific department and are not responsible for several areas, Larger companies also dont steal money from you.

Great places to consider would be...Zebula,Mabula as well as forever resorts.

Working on a reserve is a great experiance, just be careful of employers taking you for a ride, remember you are far out of town, be careful of the small establishments.
