Solar power gives Andean villages new lease on life

Thanks to a new project started by a local foundation, remote Andean villagers in Argentina now have solar-powered stoves and showers in their traditional mud-brick homes. Not only do these innovations make these peoples' lives easier and more comfortable, they help reduce deforestation and soil erosion by conserving regional forest-wood that would othersiwe be used.

It's a win-win-win situation!
