Somebody Turn on the Planets' AC!

Somebody Turn on the Planets' AC!

Well, it is summer in California again, and I feel as though the sun itself has a personal grudge against the state! Perhaps it seeks revenge on some rogue surfer who flipped it the bird when he fell off his board after the reflection coming off the water blinded him?< p>

I went outside earlier today, to examine my back yard as I am planning on fencing it in and relandscaping it soon. Ten minutes into it, I thought my lungs were going to spontaneously combust from the heavy heat.

I was trying to think of things I could do with my children outside this summer. But, I'm pretty sure that even the animals at the L.A. Zoo will be boycotting any activity that requires more energy then eating in the shade this year. So, it looks like activities are going to be mainly restricted to at night, very early morning, or indoors entirely until around Halloween (When, at least in California, it's as though one of the gods finally decided we've suffered enough for our sins, and cranks up the AC).

But, perhaps I'm just bitter because heat and I have a mutual hate based relationship, and my children have unfortunately inherited my overly sensitive skin (Of all the things I could have given them, right?!). I sincerely hope the rest of the Xombies are looking forward to a much happier, fun-filled, optimistic summer then myself.

Ahhh, it's times like this I think I would have been much better off had I been born in Alaska.

Like anywhere

I guess, too high! No but actually the average Income/Price ratio is very very good! and there's free healthcare. Bad roads though

Good stuff

Norway is a long country though, go live in the south and your fine. Where I live the summers are actually a bit too cold.

Norway Taxes?

Hum... Nice cold Norway! What are the taxes like there? - - - Read Bytes & Blurbs by Phloydius - - -

I am seriously considering

I am seriously considering Norway as a viable option for where to move to now!

Heat

We had a few days of 90+ heat and humidity in the NYC region last week, breaking a few records. Usually you don't see that kind of heat/humidity until August. Maybe I should move to Canada for the summer... or maybe check into Norway!

Plenty of cold air here

You should move here! I live in Arctic Norway and right now we have 7 degrees Celsius and a nice cold breeze

PLEASE DO THIS. I need some

Whatever you need to make you feel like you've been the one behind the wheel.
