Songwriting is a lot like poetry.Just with music! I like to write songs in the shower. I find that it is a time when my mind is free from other distractions. I often get writers block if I try to write after listening to someone else's music i.e. the radio. I am the most creative when I am up late at night just playing around. I love to listen to music that I thought was garbage and finding that I have lyrics that match it---NEVER DELETE MUSIC OR THROW AWAY LYRICS YOU CAN ALWAYS USE THEM LATER!!!
