November 26, 2007, - Health care worker, Sonya Elliot filed a civil lawsuit on March 14, 2005, against NFL star Michael Vick, for infecting her knowingly and willingly with Herpes Virus 2. Ms. Elliot filed a claim for personal damages in Gwinnett County in the State of Georgia.

Ms. Elliot claims that when she confronted Vick with her diagnosis, he admitted to being infected with the Herpes Virus. Protected sex using a condom could have prevented Ms. Elliot from becoming infected.
