South Out of Alaska
posted October 16, 2009 - 9:13pmOut of Alaska came a lady that few had heard of but soon the world knew the name of Sarah Palin. She is the conservative that John McCain chose to be his running mate in the 2008 Presidential election. She is a dynamite speaker that was taking the world by storm.
Soon the media realized they were going to have to do do something about this lady or she would get McCain elected President this time. He had run before and never had won but with Sarah as a running mate he just might, and they didn't want that. The Media like liberals in office, because they are also liberal in their views.
The media on every news channel began gunning for Sarah Palin like she was public enemy number one. The Republicans lost the election mainly (IMO) because of the news media hounding her. I think they thought once the election was over she would go back to Alaska and they would hear no more from her, but still she doesn't go away. It seems as though she is here to stay.
With some persuasion and a little luck maybe she will run again the next time, and we can put the news media and the high and mighty in their places and show them what a real President is in 2012.

You sure are right about that. Bush was only a National Guard or Army Reserve volunteer, but I'm glad he was up there on 9/11. Can you imagine if Clinton or his wife that was running or Obama had been in office at that time? Clinton never served at all. He ran off to Canada to keep from going to the military. I am from the same state he's from and the same age too, but that doesn't make me like him. I never voted for the man for anything and wouldn't even have voted for him for dogcatcher or his wife either. Sorry I tend to get on a soapbox when talking about the Clintons either one of them, and I suspect that before Obama gets out of office I will feel the same way about him. I didn't vote for him this time and hope he gets disgraced so bad that he decides not to run again.

Sarahs book!
I suspect it will be a great read. When will the book be out? I haven't heard much about it in a while. I had heard of her before McCain brought her national, but I can't remember when. I believe but not sure that it was in a Readers Digest article some years ago. I liked her when I read that article and thought people were misjuding her especially the media, but they are always for the Liberals if you have ever noticed you know that I'm right in that.

Good post, Johnny! I admire Sarah Palin more now than I did! I am waiting on her book now and it should be quite an interesting read!

Raised in a Dem. Family, Took that wonderful ride with of Reagan, astonished that a "movie star" could make so much sense, and now I am disgusted with all of Washington and beyond. I certainly am NOT a liberal. I have said for years that an elected candidate than ran on definitive promises should be limited to one term if all promses are not fulfilled. Not carrying through with their campaign promises either means they are incapable of doing what they promised, or are lying. In either case they should be OUT. There! Way to get me all riled up in the morning, Johnny! LOL! I guess you could call me a dreamer.

I think you are very right. Wouldn't you love to have seen what Bill Clinton would have done or Hillary or Obama either one of the three or all three for that matter? I say that I am not a Democrat or Republican because I can't agree with either of them 100%, so I just call my self an Independent which is probablly a good name. I honestly don't like labels of any kind when it comes to things of that nature, but it seems that in politics the ones wanting elected pretty much has to have a label on one side or the other.
It's none of my business, but are you Dem. or Rep. and why? Just curious, so if you don't want to answer say you don't, and I won't bother you about it anymore.

Palin took the media smears, jokes, and lies as well as any "seasoned" politician. Like her or not, she stood tall, and I don't think we have seen the last of her. Had a few others I can think of been crucified as she was, they would have run home like babies.
