Southwest Airlines Kicks Screaming Kid Off Flight
posted October 30, 2009 - 8:27pm
A woman and her 2-year-old kid were kicked off a Southwest Airlines flight heading for San Jose, California because the child started screaming. The plane was about to takeoff from Amarillo, Texas when it headed back to the gate and removed the mother and child from the
flight. Was the airline within their rights for removing them from the plane? The full story is in the article below.

Mmmmm...
I'd have to know the decibel level of the screams. Just kidding! Imagine if a kid screaming in a department store was booted out by security! Since when did a screaming kid on an airplane or anywhere become a public offense. Jeepers!

I read the article on Mercury but couldn't leave a comment. I'm not a member there. I think that the airline is completely 100% in the wrong. I also think that they should not only reimburse her for the lost flight, but should also pay for her ticket on the new airline. I am assuming that the lady didn't take Southwestern when she did fly the next day. I wouldn't have or ever again. If they didn't at the very least offer that much for the imbarrassment they caused me by kicking me off, I would be tempted to sue them. I usually watch the news, but this is the first I have heard about this. Thanks for posting.
