Spammers, Phishers and the like BEWARE! (PoisedGuru)

Greetings all.

I received a phishing scam email attached below. Be assured that I have taken the necessary steps and the account has been deactivated. This is a direct violation of the Terms and Conditions of the Xomba website and as such will not be tolerated. I apologize for this happening and will work to see that incidents like this are limited as I feel it detracts from the enjoyment of the site overall. Things like this will happen from time to time, please be sure to report them to me when they happen so that we may take the appropriate actions.

bounced and if any were familiar? Your dogs are surely much better than mine. I was never worried about my personal e-mail being lost through you. With your open lines world wide (the net)at what level are the posts being scanned by NAS, do you suppose? That is who in the hooks you lace into is on the gov sniffers; or do you think that way..? Let loose the hounds of....

So I have done a little digging. The IP that was used is from: African Network Information Center RIPE Network Coordination Centre Not a lot of help. When I sent the hounds sniffing around they lost the scent on the Ivory Coast after hopping halfway across the planet twice. I sure am glad I found those hounds at that strange rummage sale. They save me a lot of legwork. Of course, the IP we have on record could easily have been spoofed or supplied through a proxy server. So there's no real way to be certain at this point. The only thing I know for sure is that they will not be logging in again through that account. Poised Guru Xomba Moderator

We just went on and banned the account. Not everyone received the message. The good news with Xomba is that no one EVER sees your email address. We don't distribute your email address either. So it is completely private. This person DOES NOT have your email address. Just remember if anyone ever uses the word RICH, MILLIONS, MAKE LOTS OF MONEY FROM YOUR HOME or even uses multiple $$ signs then it is probably a scam. Another tip: Never ever pay to use a service that you don't 100% understand. There are lots of these type scams going on now.
