Spill The Blood ( The Iron Butterfly II )

Spill The Blood

Spill the blood,
My iron butterfly.
Spare no mercy,
Take no prisoners.
Only let them see you,
Strong and Bold.
Play on their insecurities.
Become a menace to their souls.
Never let them know,
The pain they feel,
Is pain you once felt.
Never let it go.
When you fly,
Let them see your wings.
Made of confusion,
Depression, and brokenness.
That has made you strong.
You, the ugly thing they once hated.
Look at you now,
My iron butterfly!
Spill the blood.

Thanks for your comment. You

Thanks for your comment. You hit the nail onthe head so to speak. I began writing The Iron Butterfly in high school and it was a way to get out a lot of what I couldn't say. I'm very to the point and I'm glad you appericate it.

In-a-godda-da-vida,

In-a-godda-da-vida, baby, don't you know that I love you?

I'm not quite sure what the Iron Butterfly represents to you. When I read it I feel like the Iron Butterfly is an unconscious part of the mind, because the mind needs to be majestic and beautiful like a butterfly, and at the same time it needs to be strong and resilient to attacks. No matter what the true meaning I like your poem. It is dark but lines like "Never let them know the pain they feel" shows that the Iron Butterfly is doing something of a service towards others. I liked how each line is short and to the point. The brevity and conciseness add to the butterfly's nature.
