Spiritual Living

“Impart as much as you can of your spiritual being to those who are on the road with you, and accept as something precious what comes back to you from them.”

Is
it just certain people, who are entitled to say they are living from a spiritual perspective? Can the man who goes to church on Sunday say he is “more” spiritually in tune than the man who does not attend a weekly worship service? My guess is no! How do we live spiritually, then?
A person can go to church every day of the week, but if that person treats others in an unkindly fashion; he is not living from a spiritual sense. A mind filled with spirit will always treat people in a loving and thoughtful manner.
Spiritually minded people are also tolerant of any differences between themselves and others, especially when it comes to religious matters. There is no right or wrong on the religious and spiritual path and respect for that should always be the rule of thumb.
Malicious harm to another person either physically or mentally is definitely not living from a spiritual perspective. Murder, robbery and hate crimes are among the bigger offenses a spiritually directed person would not commit. It simply is not their nature.
However, malicious harm, which is not always carried out through murder or a physical attack on another human being, is often brought on by negative gossip and spreading untrue rumors. This type of behavior is as harmful as a physical assault, especially when aimed at innocent people. A spiritually minded person opts not to partake in this unhealthy practice.
Setting good examples for others to follow and being a role model is a positive way to build a spiritually enlightened foundation. Helping others without expecting anything in return is another affirmative step to spiritual growth. Commit a random act of kindness for someone and reap the reward of kindness that will come back to you ten-fold.
Although there are many simple things you can do to incorporate spirituality into your life, one of the most important things, often overlooked is; keeping your physical body tuned up and in good condition. Always remember, the physical body is the vehicle that houses your soul.
To stay fit spiritually, you need to care for your body. Over indulgence in food, drugs or alcohol is a spiritual killer. High levels of constant stress are terrible energy zappers. This will only hinder your spiritual growth. The key here is moderation of course. Spiritually enhanced living is a constructive lifestyle and it is available to any one who chooses to make it a part of their life.

So much truth..
in your article. Love how you put the truth out there. Great read. Thank you.
Judgmental People
I agree with you wholeheartedly. I have seen people on Sundays just after church lambasting their neighbors and judging them with the cruelty of a vicious scorpion. I've seen others who never once attended church give everything they have to people in need.
Spirituality is not blindly following the tenets of certain religions; it's treating others as you want them to treat you. Love your views.
