Springfield Is Not The Capital Of Massachusetts, It's Boston Dummy

There are many people out there that actually think Springfield is the capital of Massachusetts. Let me start by informing all of you that the capital of Massachusetts is Boston. Didn't any of you go to school? Anyway, I grew up in Springfield, Massachusetts and in some suburbs surrounding the city. So trust me, Springfield would make one sorry capital if it was one. Don't get me wrong, the city has it's perks. You have the Basketball Hall of Fame, a Six Flags in the next town over, various museums and Forest Park. But other than that, the city is not to bright. It's generally not a very pretty place at all. Maybe it's just because I grew up there, but in my opinion, the city is mostly dirty and ghetto. Boston is a much nicer and more suitable capital. Not to mention it's a whole lot bigger.

Many people have been searching the capital of Massachusetts today. In fact it's one of the highest searched words on Google right now. That is where the idea for this random article came from.

This was one of my strongest subjects in school

When I was in grade school, naming the states and their capitals was one of my strongest subjects, maybe #2 to spelling. I used to have my mom and stepdad quiz me all the time and we'd create car games around them. Now that I am a dad, I will be happy to impart that knowledge of the different states and their "official" stuff to my son when he gets older. EDIT: Where exactly is Boston Dummy? Is that a suburb of Boston proper? LOL DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?

State capitals

Most people don't know many state capitals besides there own. And they probably haven't been to either Boston or Springfield, so don't have much to compare the two by. And, of course, a state's capital isn't necessarily its largest or most prestigious city: just look at California (Sacramento), Illinois (yes, that one IS Springfield), Michigan (Lansing), New York (Albany), Missouri (Jefferson City), etc.
