Sreesanth's Boorish Behaviour Angers Indian Media

According to news reports, The Indian media has condemned fast bowler Shanthakumaran Sreesanth's on-field tantrums after he clashed with Australian batsmen, saying there was a 'thin line between aggression and antics.

Sreesanth continued with his antics repeatedly throughout the Second ODI Cricket match in Kochi, with the Australian batsmen and even appealed for a run-out against Andrew Symonds after the ball was ruled dead.

The bowler ran up to striker Brad Haddin's feet to collect a ball that bounced off the batsman's pad and eye-balled him inches from his nose.

Non-striker Symonds left his crease to have a word with Sreesanth who promptly dislodged the bails and continued to appeal for a run-out even though umpire Suresh Shastri ruled it a 'dead' ball.

It was Captain Dhoni who cooled the man down and handled the situation from getting out of hand. All these antics by the bowler has left the media "unimpressed" with him.

the bad and the good

The bad - Our boys shouldnt stoop to that level. In fact it look even more uncontrolled in situations like this dead ball example. The good - the aussies deserve it. They are real bad at sledging themselves. In fact consider amongst the worst. From that perspective, we do need guys like Sreesanth to fire the aussie pants up.
