Hector Elizondo joins the cast of Monk and plays Monk's new analyst, Dr. Bell, a man with a harsher, no-nonsense style who has replaced the very talented Stanley Kamel who died in April 2008 of a heart attack.

Kamel played a lot of different characters over the years, he was probably best known for playing Dr.Kroger on Monk starring Tony Shalhoub

Kamel was born in New Jersey and got his start in acting with bit parts off-Broadway before his big break into television on Days of Our Lives in the 1970s.He also starred in Melrose Place,Beverly Hills, 90210 and many other popular shows.
