You know that Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards (KCA) is getting big when the New York Times does a story on it. But the focus of the article is not host Jack Black or any of the performers, it's the green goo that is generously sprayed on winners, performers, and just about anyone else who happens to be in its path.

There will be plenty of stars at the KCA, from performers Miley Cyrus and the Naked Brothers Band to Cameron Diaz and Janet Jackson.

The neon-green goo is a major draw the show, though, and Saturday's telecast will supposedly feature two tanker cars full of the slime.

Age, experience, and glamor are no matter when it comes to getting slimed. Stars including Steve Carrell, Nicole Kidman, Justin Timberlake, and even James Earl Jones have been honored with a shower of the green goo.

The 2008 Kids' Choice Awards will be shown at 8 p.m. on Saturday on Nickelodeon. According to the Times article, about six million children and their parents will be watching. Kids vote online for the nominees, and it's said that 80 million votes have been cast at Nick.com.

That's right--the stars get

That's right--the stars get slimed. Remember that show You Can't Do That On Television.

The kids used to get slimed. Then there was that show with Mark Summers, Double Dare, where the contestants would get slimed.

This show could actually be good with Jack Black as host. I'm a fan.

Jack Black

I think he's the ideal host for this show. He's a big kid himself, and can make things pretty lively.
