Start Your own Online Business Selling E-Books
Selling E-Books on eBay can be very lucrative. Very little investment if any is need to get started and profit margins are extremely high. An E-Book is essentially information written in book/report form with the help of a word processor. The benefit of selling E-Books is that you don't have to pay anything for shipping since it's sent via email and you can charge as much as you want. The more work you put in the better. I spend on average, 1 hour a day and sell about 100 E-Books a week. NO money comes out of my pocket, it only goes in. Here are all the steps you need to start making easy money selling information. I've also included a free E-Book for you to download (http://www.mediafire.com/?hxbtvzuusmj). You can sell for as much as you want or just read it, there's some really good information in it.
Step 1
The first thing you need to do is set up a business email account. Creating a separate email makes it easier to keep up with transactions and track customers. It also a good to have a separate email so that you don't have business related matters flooding your personal email inbox. I suggest creating a Gmail account, it's completely free and easy to set up.
Step 2
If you don't already have an eBay account create one, it only takes a couple of minutes and you can start selling in minutes. You will also need to create a PayPal account in order to receive payments and pay listing fees. Make sure to use your business email to sign up with both.
Step 3
Once you have both an eBay and PayPal account it's time to decide what kind of E-Books to sell. Do some research on eBay in the "Information Products" sub-category under the main category "Everything Else". See what's selling and how many of each are selling. You'll be amazed at how much information is worth, especially on eBay. Good E-Books to start with are eBay business books and how-to's.
Step 4
Now that you've got a few ideas of what to sell it's time to find some E-Books. I've provided a free E-Book to help get you started. It's available for download at this link http://www.mediafire.com/?hxbtvzuusmj. There are multiple ways you can find E-Books to build your inventory: (1) Search the internet for free E-Books that give you resell rights. MAKE SURE IT STATES THAT YOU CAN RESELL IT SO THAT YOU DON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH COPYRIGHT INFRINGEMENT LAWS. (2) Purchase a couple through eBay that state free resale rights in the description. Try not to spend to much. I recommend spending no more than $5 to build your inventory. If you're worried about spending money buying E-Books don't be. You'll make all your money back within the first couple of weeks, I guarantee it. (3) You can also write your own E-Book to sell. This takes a little more effort but it's well worth it. Write about a topic your familiar with. Most of the E-Books I've written are about making money online. I've been doing it for years and you'd be surprised how many copies I sell.
Step 5
Design a presentable listing, it's vital to add an in-depth description of your E-Book. Look over your E-Books briefly and create an outline of what each offers and how it's beneficial to the reader. Add pictures to grab your buyers attention and keep it as they look over your auction. Incorporate anything you can think of to entice the buyer to make the purchase. Place yourself in their shoes, ask yourself what would make you want buy the E-Book.
Step 6
When your finished designing your auction template it's time to list your items for sale. If your a new seller it's a good idea to list your E-Books to sell cheaply. I recommend starting at .01 cent each until you reach about 30+ positive feedback. Once you reach that amount start listing your E-Books as "buy it now" with multiple items for each. I strongly advise against charging more than .99 cents or you won't receive much business. List your inventory every two days and space each item out by at least an hour. This ensures that your items can reach a wide customer base.
Step 7
Listing fees are your worst enemy, they take away from your profit. So, try to minimize them by not adding to much "fluff" to your listings. There's no need for bold or highlighting your auctions. Although you will want to list your items in multiple categories to reach more potential customers
Step 8
Respond to customer inquiries as quickly as possible responding with a nice appropriate answer. This will show that you care about them and you may get repeat business.
Step 9
In order to digitally deliver your E-Book you will need to upload your E-Books to a free file hosting website. I recommend using Mediafire.com. It's free and easy to use, just upload your file and you'll be given a sharing link which you will email to your buyers.
Step 10
When one of your E-Books sells, send an invoice if the customer doesn't pay right away. When they pay send them a thank you message including the sharing link to the E-Book with your business email account. Don't procrastinate, you want to send them their product as soon as possible. This ensures their happiness and you will receive feedback quicker.
Step 11
Leave each buyer feedback as soon as the payment shows up in your PayPal account (you'll usually be notified by email). This shows initiative on your part and the buyer will usually follow your example.
Step 12
To increase profits and decrease work on your part incorporate programs such as eBay Turbo Lister and an Automatic Digital Delivery System. It's also beneficial to create an Auctiva.com account which will help promote and simplify your listings.
Step 13
Finally, build your inventory and as you sell more and more you will eventually become a Power Seller. This will increase business due to your stellar reputation which in turn will increase traffic and sales. When business is booming start an eBay store to promote your products even more. Selling E-Books on eBay is an extremely easy method to create an extra steam of income for yourself. If successful enough you may want to consider going full time and quit the 9-5 (it's happened before). It is what you make of it! NOW GET STARTED!

Have you been able to do this at a profit? It seems like seller fees and PayPal fees would make this more difficult. WShat has been your experience?
Actually surprisingly, YES!! When I first started it was a pain, but as I built up my inventory and sold more and more my income compensated for it. You just have to get up the courage to give it a try and you'll be surprised by the results.
With a .15 cent listing fee - a .10 cent final value fee - a .40 cent PayPal fee - there isn't much profit left...is selling ebook volume that high? Just curious, I've been seriously thinking about venturing into the ebook arena on eBay, but didn't think it was very profitable. Thanks for your time, I appreciate it.
Well if you sell ebooks for more than .99 cents you wont get to many buyers. The trick is to list multiple quantities for the same listing. I usually sell 10 of the same ebook per listing. And make about .66 cents per book sold after ebay and paypal fees. Just make sure to sell ebooks that are in high demand.
