Statue of Liberty’s Crown Reopening to Public on July 4

The Statue of Liberty’s crown, will reopen to the public on July 4. This was announced by the White House announced on Friday, 07 May, 2009, morning. The Statue of Liberty’s crown was closed to the public after the 9/11 attacks. The Bush administration had decided to close the crown to visitors because the approach to the crown did not meet modern fire, building and safety codes. Read more on this and see the video here.
