Strawberry Banana Shake - Simple Easy Yummy

The weather is hot. My son came back after his morning jog and was "very very hungry" for something "sweet, liquidy and chillingly cool".

The only things available with me were some ripe bananas and a box of strawberries in the fridge. I was even out of milk. Thankfully there were 2 bottles of soymilk left and that turned out to be a bonus.

So I tried this simple banana strawberry shake which made me the best cook in the world as far as my son is concerned!!

Ingredients

1 tsp Honey

1 ripe Banana

3 cups of Vanilla flavored Soymilk

1 cup frozen Strawberries

Directions

This is really a very simple recipe.

I always use honey in my shakes instead of sugar and that makes them smoother.

The key about this recipe is use of Honey instead of Sugar, Soymilk instead of regular milk and strawberries to enrich the nutrient value (In my case that was the only other fruit available!) . You can use vanilla essence if you do not have vanilla flavored soy milk.

Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend.

Serve cold.

(P.S. - Add grated ice if you need it to be chillingly cool!)
